BOISE — Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced that investigators with his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit arrested twenty-seven-year-old James Halma on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, for alleged child sexual exploitation.
James Halma was charged with ten counts of possession of child exploitation material, one count of possession of obscene visual representation of the sexual abuse of children, and one count of child enticement.
“I thank my ICAC investigators for their work arresting this suspect and for the collaboration between the Nampa Police Department, Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, and our team,” said Attorney General Labrador.
The Nampa Police Department and Canyon County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Idaho ICAC Task Force in the arrest.

The Attorney General’s ICAC Unit works with the Idaho ICAC Task Force, a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the internet to criminally exploit children.

The charges listed above are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
