Primary Duties: This attorney position will be a part of a dynamic civil litigation team that focuses on strategic and high-stakes litigation defending the sovereignty of Idaho and the rights of her citizens. The Civil Litigation and Constitutional Defense Division works closely with Idaho’s Solicitor General and represents the state in state and federal courts in high profile civil rights and constitutional claims, class actions, major tort claims, administrative law challenges, statutory matters, and multi-state litigation. The attorney selected for this position will participate in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion and trial practice, and appeals.

Requirements: Current Idaho POST Certification of Intermediate level or higher; minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent; at least five years law enforcement experience, preferably with an emphasis in investigations; above-average communication and interpersonal skills; a thorough understanding of laws, policies and rules of evidence applicable to Idaho law enforcement service; ability to work in a close-knit team environment with other investigators and prosecutors; enthusiasm for public service.

Primary Duties: The ICAC Analyst will be assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children (“ICAC”) Unit in the Criminal Law Division. This is a civilian position.
The Analyst works closely with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and has primary responsibility for receiving, reviewing, and triaging tips related to the sexual exploitation of children. If a tip warrants additional investigation, the Analyst prepares administrative subpoenas, preservation requests, and related documents to gather evidence from electronic service providers and others.
The Analyst manages the physical evidence in the Criminal Law Division, including by accompanying the ICAC Unit on search warrants to record and handle evidence recovered.
The Analyst operates as the liaison between the ICAC Unit and local law enforcement agencies across the state. The Analyst sends out and tracks referrals to local law enforcement agencies and remains in frequent contact with agencies to determine when the ICAC Unit may need to assist. The ICAC Unit often trains local law enforcement officers and prosecutors, and the Analyst schedules and coordinates each of these training courses.
The Analyst also operates as the liaison between the ICAC Unit and the public by responding to phone calls, emails, and other inquiries. The Analyst assists the ICAC Unit in community outreach efforts through internet safety and child abuse prevention training with schools, churches, and other citizen groups.
This work requires the Analyst to frequently view graphic videos, photographs, and chat logs of child sexual exploitation for investigative purposes, such as to establish crimes committed and to locate evidence to be used in the identification/rescue of live victims and the prosecution of offenders. The Office of the Attorney General requires all its employees routinely exposed to such content to participate in a mental health wellness program run by a certified clinician.
Requirements: The Analyst must have a strong working knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to child sexual exploitation crimes and the investigative techniques used in such cases and will be called upon frequently to assist local, federal, and state investigators in this subject area.
The Analyst must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Location: Boise, Idaho.
Primary Duties: The Division enforces the Idaho Consumer Protection and Competition Acts and has enforcement responsibilities related to Idaho’s tobacco laws. Deputies investigate and litigate alleged violations of these laws, negotiate settlements, and work with other state attorneys general on multistate matters. Deputies also assist with the Division’s informal mediation process and provide consumer education. Some travel may be required.
This position will focus primarily on the Idaho Consumer Protection Act and related investigations and litigation.
Requirements: Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho. A minimum of three years of experience in litigation or administrative law practice is required. Experience in consumer protection matters is particularly helpful.

Salary: Salary DOE. Primary Duties:Attorneys in the division’s central office practice as part of a team of attorneys and support staff to provide general counsel to state agencies and state elected officials. Practice in the central office allows attorneys to both independently provide direct client advice and practice as part of the larger team of the Office of the Attorney General. The team provides substantive support and collegiality.
This position will be responsible for advising and representing the Governor’s Division of Human Resources (DHR). Responsibilities will include: advising on employment law matters; developing and conducting trainings with DHR staff for state employees, supervisors and human resources staff; conducting or overseeing state agency workplace investigations; assisting with development of state employee policies and procedures; representing DHR in administrative proceedings; assisting with review and preparation of draft legislation and administrative rules; and advising on general government matters, such as contracting, administrative law, public records requests, and applicable laws and best practices.
Requirements: Active Idaho State Bar license required. Previous experience with Idaho employment laws required. 5-10 years of post-law school clerking or legal practice preferred. Previous experience representing public agencies preferred. Experience advising public agencies or businesses in statutory or regulatory interpretation is desired.
