Primary Duties: Perform a wide variety of financial duties to include coding and processing accounting entries; developing and maintaining records; compiling financial information to prepare summaries and reports. Analyze, research, and reconcile financial information; review financial documents and records for accuracy, discrepancies, and compliance issues; perform entry level accounting and bookkeeping functions. Incumbents have broad knowledge of the office’s programs and financial requirements to accomplish the above duties. Other duties and projects, as necessary.
Requirements: Strong skills using the computer to retrieve, enter, edit, and maintain financial data; Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality; Strong analytical skills; Strong attention to detail; Strong interpersonal skills.
Experience with bookkeeping and entry level accounting functions; Experience with MS Excel and Word (MS Office Suite); Experience using computers to retrieve, edit, and analyze financial data; Good knowledge of financial record keeping methods; Some experience in research, analysis, and compilation of financial data; Some experience preparing summaries and reports using financial data; Some knowledge of accounting principles and practices; Experience with State of Idaho accounting (STARS), personnel and time keeping systems (IPOPS) is desirable.

Primary Duties: The Investigative Auditor is assigned to the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Criminal Law Division. This position reviews financial and medical records and advises and assists in the investigation of alleged health care fraud and patient or resident abuse and neglect. Requirements: The knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work required of this position are usually acquired through a combination of education and experience in accounting, healthcare administration, or medical auditing. Therefore, though not required, preference will be given to applicants who possess an undergraduate degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or other related field, with demonstrable experience in auditing or accounting of financial statements and records. Must have the ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize complex financial and medical records.
