<title>Idaho Consumers to Receive $485,000 from E-book Antitrust Settlement</title>
<description>Boise) - Idahoans are expected to receive up to $485,000 in additional restitution as a result of two settlement agreements, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden announced. Idaho, along with 32 other states and territories, entered settlement agreements with Penguin Group (USA) Inc. ("Penguin") and Holtzbrinck Publishers LLC d/b/a Macmillan ("Macmillan") to resolve allegations that Penguin and Macmillan were part of a conspiracy with other major publishers and Apple Inc. to manipulate electronic book (e-book&quot;) prices in violation of state antitrust law.</description>

<title>Boise Loan Broker to Refund Unlawful Upfront Fees</title>
<description>(Boise) - A Boise loan broker has agreed to pay $19,575 in customer refunds and change his business practices, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said today. The agreement with Dairld G. Wurtz, Jr., who operates Allied Commercial Partners 1, LLC, resolves a lawsuit filed by Wasden's office in February. Under terms of the settlement, Wurtz must comply with the Idaho Consumer Protection Act and Idaho's loan broker law, which prohibits loan brokers from accepting upfront fees for unfunded loans.</description>

<title>Pocatello Dentist Sentenced for Fraudulent Medicaid Billing</title>
<description>(Boise) - Dr. Carl B. Holm, a  Pocatello dentist, was sentenced Monday for felony provider fraud for  submitting false dental claims to the Idaho Medicaid program. Sixth  District Judge Stephen S. Dunn sentenced Holm to three years on probation and a  $1,000 fine and granted a withheld judgment. Holm was also ordered to pay  $7,315.55 in restitution to Medicaid and $2,701.75 to the Attorney General's  Office for investigative costs.</description>

<description>(Boise) - Blackfoot resident  Angela M. Blom, 64, was sentenced today on one count of provider fraud,  Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Sixth District Judge David Nye  sentenced Blom to serve five years in prison. The court suspended the  prison sentence and placed Blom on probation for five years. She was also  ordered to pay $18,342 in interest.</description>

<description>(Boise) - Former Farmers Insurance agent, Raymond R. Rice, was sentenced today for diverting premium  funds for personal use, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Fourth  District Judge Thomas Neville sentenced Rice to one to five years in  prison. The court suspended the prison sentence and placed Rice in the  retained jurisdiction for up to 365 days. The court will determine restitution  at a later date.</description>

<title>Idaho Joins Robo-Signing Settlement with Lender Processing Services</title>
<description>(Boise) - Idaho has joined in a  legal settlement that requires one of the nation's largest providers of mortgage loan processing services to change its business practices and pay a  total of $120 million to 45 states and the District of Columbia, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. The settlement with Lender  Processing Services, Inc. (LPS), and its subsidiaries, LPS Default Solutions  and DocX, resolves allegations that the company, acting on behalf of mortgage  servicers, improperly signed and notarized loan default paperwork. This  practice is commonly known as "robo-signing."</description>

<description>(Boise) - Hayden resident Kevin C. Mangola was sentenced January 8 for insurance fraud, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said.  First District Judge John Mitchell sentenced Mangola to up to 10 years in prison and ordered him to pay a $3,000 fine plus court costs. The court suspended the prison term and ordered Mangola to perform 400 hours of community service and serve 4 years on supervised probation.</description>

<description>(Boise)  - Idaho will receive $732,000 from a legal settlement with Pfizer Inc, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said today. The settlement resolves allegations  that Pfizer unlawfully promoted its drugs, Zyvox and Lyrica. In the  settlement with Idaho and 32 other states, Pfizer agreed to pay $42.9 million  to resolve allegations, but admitted no wrongdoing.</description>
