Former Minidoka County Employee Sentenced

(Boise) – Attorney General Lawrence Wasden announced Alice “Alicia” F. Daniel, a former driver’s license clerk for Minidoka County, was sentenced today for presenting a fraudulent account.

Fifth District Judge John Butler sentenced Daniel to two years probation, ordered her to pay a $1,000 fine and serve 150 hours of community service.  The judge gave her a withheld judgment.

On February 13, 2015, Alicia Daniel, 54, of Twin Falls was found guilty by a Minidoka County jury of presenting timecards between April 2012 and April 2013 containing false information.  Daniel falsified her timecards by recording time not actually worked and/or claiming sick leave while not actually ill.

The case was investigated by Michael Steen and prosecuted by Deputy Attorney General Jason Slade Spillman of the Attorney General’s Special Prosecution Unit at the request of Minidoka County Prosecuting Attorney Lance D. Stevenson.
