Traci Hadden Sentenced for Attempted Murder, Grand Theft
(Boise) – Traci N. Hadden will serve at least 10 years and up to 15 years in prison for the attempted murder of her former father-in-law, Craig Hadden. During a sentencing hearing in Shoshone yesterday, Fifth District Judge John Butler also sentenced Hadden to 10 – 14 years in prison for grand theft.
Hadden, 35, a resident of Shoshone, pleaded guilty to the two felony crimes on February 16, 2010. The sentences will run concurrently with each other and consecutive to Hadden’s seven-year fixed sentence for an unrelated theft.
Michael Cannon, 16, a resident of Shoshone, is serving a 4 – 12 year sentence after pleading guilty to attempted murder in the April 1, 2009 shooting of Craig Hadden outside Mr. Hadden’s residence in Shoshone.
The Attorney General alleged that Traci Hadden recruited Cannon to kill Craig Hadden.
The Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit conducted the prosecutions at the request of Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney E. Scott Paul. Deputy Attorney General Chris Topmiller prosecuted the cases.
