Hetrick Sentenced for Sexual Abuse of a Minor
(Boise) – Johnny R. Hetrick was sentenced today for sexual abuse of a minor, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Third District Judge Juneal Kerrick ordered Hetrick to serve up to 15 years in prison, with four years fixed. He must also pay $3,000 in civil penalties, restitution to his three victims and register as a sex offender.
Hetrick, 48, pleaded guilty on May 21, 2009, to one count of sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 16. A Canyon County grand jury indicted Hetrick on December 4, 2008, on two counts of lewd conduct with a minor and one count of sexual abuse of a minor.
The Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit prosecuted the case at the request of Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney John Bujak. Deputy Attorney General Josh Taylor prosecuted the case.
