Martinez Ordered to Pay Restitution for Grand Theft
(Boise) – Tammy Charlene Martinez was ordered to pay $58,762.87 in restitution to her former employer, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Fourth District Judge Michael McLaughlin previously sentenced Martinez to serve eight years, with two years fixed, for grand theft. In a written order, Judge McLaughlin determined the actual amount of restitution. Martinez is currently incarcerated in the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center.
Martinez, 42, pleaded guilty to grand theft on January 26, 2009. By pleading guilty, Martinez admitted to grand theft from her employer, which occurred between November 2006 and September 2007.
The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Attorney General’s Criminal Law Division prosecuted the case at the request of Ada County Prosecutor Greg Bower. Deputy Attorney General Josh Taylor prosecuted the case.
