Boise Police Officer Sentenced for DUI
(Boise) – Boise Police Officer Gary C. Miller, 38, entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Retired Judge Jerry Meyers also ordered Miller to pay a $1,000 fine and sentenced him to one year of probation. The court suspended 87 days of the jail sentence and $250 of the fine.
Miller was off duty when he was arrested on April 26, 2008, by an Idaho State Police officer and cited for misdemeanor DUI. Miller’s blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
The Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit prosecuted this case at the request of Ada County Prosecuting Attorney Greg Bower. Deputy Attorney General Josh Taylor prosecuted the case.
