Brent Richardson Sentenced to Prison
(Boise) – Brent R. Richardson, 20, was sentenced today on one count of felony concealment of evidence, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Third District Judge Juneal Kerrick sentenced Richardson to serve five years in prison.
Richardson, a Nampa resident, pleaded guilty on April 21, 2006, to felony concealment of evidence. Richardson was a passenger in a vehicle, which was involved in an injury accident dragging the victim under the vehicle. After leaving the scene of the accident, Richardson gave the driver of the vehicle directions to an acquaintance’s house where the driver parked the vehicle in the driveway and left it. Richardson later came back to get the vehicle, but he was informed it had been towed. After retrieving the vehicle from the towing company, Richardson instructed another individual to wash blood from the car to conceal the evidence that the vehicle had been used in the crime. After removing the evidence, Richardson exchanged the vehicle with another acquaintance in Boise.
The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Attorney General's Criminal Law Division handled the case at the request of Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney Dave Young.
