Hyde Sentenced for Lewd and Lascivious Conduct With a Minor
(Boise) - Shannon Lee Hyde was sentenced to five to ten years in prison and fined $1,000 for lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor under the age of sixteen years, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Third District Judge Renae Hoff suspended the prison sentence and ordered Hyde to serve one year in the county jail and 10 years probation.
Shannon Lee Hyde must also register as a sex offender, pay court costs and restitution.
Hyde, 37, of Emmett, pleaded guilty on September 8, 2003 to two felony counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor under the age of sixteen years.
The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Attorney General's Criminal Law Division prosecuted the case at the request of Gem County Prosecuting Attorney Richard K. Linville. Deputy Attorneys General J. Scott James and Ken Robins prosecuted the case.
