Deadline For Filing Cardizem Claims Extended
(Boise) - The deadline to file claims for reimbursement in the Cardizem® CD settlement has been extended to November 15, 2003, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Wasden said the extension was granted by the court.
Idahoans who purchased Cardizem CD or its generic equivalents from January 1, 1998 through January 29, 2003 may be eligible to file a claim. The claim form and filing information is accessible via the Attorney General's website by clicking here or by calling: (800) 372–2406.
Claims must be postmarked by November 15, 2003.
"Idahoans who relied on this medication to treat high blood pressure and chest pain were victims of anti-competitive practices by the manufacturers of Cardizem CD," Attorney General Wasden said. "The delayed introduction of lower priced generic versions of the drug forced many Idahoans to pay more for their treatment."
