Gregory Todd Anderson Sentenced for Domestic Violence
(Boise) - Gregory Todd Anderson of Boise was sentenced today to 180 days in the county jail for the crime of domestic violence, Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Fourth District Magistrate Kevin Swain also fined Anderson $300 and ordered him to receive domestic violence counseling and be on probation for 2 years. The court suspended 150 days of the jail sentence and the fine.
Anderson, 37, of Boise pleaded guilty on February 26, 2003, to one count of domestic violence. Anderson was arrested on January 6, 2003 after police were called to his residence. He intentionally punched his victim in the head with a closed fist. The victim suffered bruising and swelling from the blow to the head.
The Special Prosecutions Unit of the Attorney General's Criminal Law Division prosecuted the case at the request of Ada County Prosecuting Attorney Greg Bower. Deputy Attorney General Kenneth Stringfield prosecuted the case.
