ProtecTeens is a video presentation and resource kit created to educate parents about the potential danger to their children from sexual predators on the Internet.
There is evidence that thousands of Idaho children receive unwanted sexual material or solicitations over the Internet every year. Our law enforcement community has been extremely successful in tracking down, arresting and locking up many of these sexual predators. We hope that ProtecTeens will help parents understand the magnitude of the dangers, and take an active role in protecting their children from Internet predators.
This video was developed with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and Idaho Secretary of State Ben Ysursa to help Idahoans learn about the dangers of sexual Internet predators. Our partnership with other state and local agencies includes the Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association, the Sheriff’s Association, the Chiefs of Police Association, the Medical Association, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the School Boards Association, the Association of School Administrators, the Idaho Parent Teacher Association, Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna, and Governor Butch Otter and First Lady Lori Otter.
Idaho residents who would like a free copy of the ProtecTeens DVD and resource may order one by clicking here. Due to budget constraints, we can provide DVDs only to Idaho residents. We encourage non-residents to view the video and publications online.
